Early Childhood Teacher, Maternity Contract - Preschool Room Leader & Centre 2IC

This modern, purpose built council service in the inner west is seeking an experienced and qualified ECT to join their team as room leader of the 3 - 5's room and to fulfill the role of centre 2IC. This is a contract role to start ASAP until the end of June 2012.

 

Staff enjoy excellent working conditions including working a 9 day fortnight. The centre is bright and airy, with large outdoor areas, an onsite cook and a range of age appropriate resources. The centre has plenty of on site parking available, or is a short walk from the local train station.

 

This position would see you responsible for planning, programming, staff management, implementation of the EYLF, parent communication, OH&S, assisting the director where required, as well as overseeing daily routines, documentation and record keeping.

Criteria:

  • Completed Early Childhood Teaching degree
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQF and QIAS
  • Experience working in a centre based environment in a room leader role
  • Confidence stepping into a 2IC role
  • Able to commit to the contract term outlined above
